Can I just vent without being given advice?
Yes, and you can say so up front. 'I don't want advice, I just want to say this' is a completely normal way to open. The person on the other side will follow your lead.
Will they judge me?
No. They don't know you, they'll never meet you, and they've heard the version of this before. There's nothing at stake in their opinion of you, which is exactly what makes it easier to be honest.
Is it actually private?
Yes. No account, no real name required, and your phone number is never shared with the person you're talking to. The conversation stays between the two of you.
What if I get emotional?
That's fine and it's expected. Nobody is timing your composure. You can type in fragments, change the subject, or sit quietly for a minute.
How long do I get?
$7 gets you a 10-minute text conversation. $16 gets you 25 minutes if you think you'll need the room. You can also book a 20-minute phone call for $25.
Can I vent about something small?
